About our Unique Group

Not a club!... A group of great people tired of listening to other people waste energy arguing Roberts Rules of Order. We are people that do things, not just talk about them and wait for the next person to do them. We are active in teaching classes, field day, and almost all modes of operation. We help others in the radio hobby checking equipment, and putting up towers and antennas. We sponsored W4Z Cunningham Key Station and contributed to the Peter I DXpedition fund. Some of our people were deployed to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina, and to Broward County, Florida  after Hurricane Wilma as part of  Florida SERT  (State Emergency Response Team).

From December 8th thru the 11th 2006 we were at the Tierra Verde Lighthouse  NA1335 for the first time activation of the first privately held lighthouse built of the west coast of Florida in 54 years. Our cards are being printed now... if you worked us you and sent a SASE to our QSL manager should receive your card around the 7th Jan. 2007.

We will be W4A on field day June 23rd & 24th, 2007 and W4A again on Lighthouse weekend from the Tierra Verde Light NA1335.

We don't set too long, we keep moving. When you are in town toss out your call...I'm sure you will be in a QSO in no time, we always have time to chat for a while.

Our Repeater is located very close to I-275 and 54th Ave North.

We are holding a four week Tech Class starting the end of January, then Morse Code (if anyone wants it now), and General Class License instruction in the future.
